Food Bank: LVCC supports a local food bank by contributing items on an on-going basis.
Items you bring will be delivered by our volunteers for immediate
distribution. Click here for a list of the LVCC suggested schedule. Also needed are toiletry items such as shampoo, toothpaste, soap, etc.
Alabaster: "Alabaster offerings" are taken twice a year for the building of churches, schools, hospitals and missionaries homes around the world. See Lynette Wilson for an alabaster box where you can collect your change throughout the year in anticipation of the offerings in the spring & fall.
Child Sponsorship: LVCC supports two children through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries each month. If you
are interested in sponsoring a child yourself, visit cs.ncm.org.
Work of Louw: LVCC supports the Bishop Raymond P. Kofa Memorial Institute in Monrovia, Liberia on a monthly basis. Part of your regular giving goes to support teachers' salaries and supplies for this school with whom we have a personal connection through Nathan Scharn.
Crisis Care Kits: In the fall, LVCC partners with the general Church of the Nazarene to provide Crisis Care Kits to meet basic needs around the world. Kits have gone to places like Belize, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, as well as California & Louisana. Wherever the need occurs, the kits go. Click here for a list of CCK contents.
Operation Christmas Child:
Each year LVCC participates in the Samaritan's Purse project of shoe box gifts for children around the world. A team of volunteers participates at the warehouse distribution center as well. A sign-up sheet will be available when a date has been set. Click here for information on the shoe box gifts.
